Most people wash their car whenever it's convenient, but timing actually has a big effect on the final result and how well products perform. Here's what to consider.

Washing in direct sun causes water and soap to dry too fast, leaving spots and streaks before you can rinse them off. Hot panels can also cause wax and sealants to flash off before they bond properly.

Early morning or early evening are ideal, when the sun is low and panels are cool. This gives you more working time before products dry on the surface.

Check the Temperature
